Congrats, Spokane Scholars!

The Spokane Scholars Foundation is dedicated to recognizing the exceptional academic achievement of high school seniors from the Spokane area. For the past 27 years, Spokane has honored the scholars -- selected by their high school principal, counselor and teachers, based solely on scholarly accomplishments -- at a banquet. This year, 156 seniors from 29 high schools were honored in and in The Spokesman-Review. A total of $60,000 was awarded to 24 of the scholars, four students in each of six content areas:  English, Fine Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and World Languages.
